On Monday 30 November 2015 at Podini Holding – seat of the Olympic Torches Museum – Stefano Podini handed over a check to the President of the South Tyrol Disabled Sports Group Markus Kompatscher which will be destined for the Sledge Hockey section for the purchase of two wheelchairs.
The Olympic Aid and Sport Promotion Project association has always supported sport because it believes that physical activity is important for everyone but especially for people with physical limitations because it allows them to lead an independent life. Sledge hockey has been featured in the program of the “South Tyrolean Disabled Sports Group” for over a decade. It seems strange that people with a spinal cord injury or leg amputation can play hockey, but the passion for sport has no barriers or boundaries .
